Investx, Stratford upon Avon’s very own private equity business, today announced that Leon Sloyan formerly a commercial manager at Santander, has joined as Investment Director and will be responsible for portfolio acquisitions across all divisions.

About Leon

Leon Joined the HSBC graduate scheme in 2005 having achieved a 2:1 honours degree in Economics, where he completed the two-year programme in 16 months and was appointed as a Commercial Manager in 2007. He was primarily focussed on providing funding and operational solutions to help SME’s grow and manage risk.


In 2010, he was appointed International Commercial Manager and managed a portfolio of SME businesses that had international operations and complex funding structures. Portfolio income grew from £800k to £1.3M in 2 years via organic growth but primarily portfolio acquisitions. Following stellar performances over the next three years which saw him awarded as the top performing Commercial Manager at HSBC in the Midlands for 3 years in a row, he joined Santander in 2013. From a standing start, he grew the Santander portfolio to over 30 new clients generating an annualised income of £1.5M in 3 years, lending £33M to growing SME’s primarily based in the manufacturing sector, along the way. He was also finalist for the Coventry & Warwickshire ‘Professional of the Year’ on 2 separate occasions.
